Assistance: We Take Care of Things You Shouldn't Have to
Worry About
Medical care for you and your baby is of primary importance,
but clarifying health insurance benefits and government
assistance can be a burden. You shouldn't have to figure out
the entire healthcare system right now. So, if you have
questions about the medical care that's available to you and your
baby, we'll track down the answers, and we may be able to provide
further assistance.
If you decide to adopt, Christian Family Services (CFS) pays
for medical expenses relating to the pregnancy and birth of the
child if they are not covered by insurance or Medicaid. The
infant's medical expenses will also be paid by CFS. The
exception is in rare cases where a child is born with significant
complications and medical problems. Our ability to help in
such a situation would depend on our adoptive parent resources and
the availability of insurance to cover unusually large medical
bills. In some cases, state agencies can help. In any
event, you would be involved in this decision making process.
We're not attorneys, but we're familiar with many aspects of the
law regarding parenthood. You'll undoubtedly have many
questions as you think through your options. We can
direct you to competent legal advice. And we can make sure the
cost and time involved don't jeopardize the other important
demands and priorities in your life right now.
If you're unable to obtain life's basic necessities, it's part of
our mission to make sure you get them, both you and your baby.
Our network of caring Christians can, with God's help, supply
your needs.
And finally, some situations require that a woman find a warm and
welcoming home in which to spend the months leading to birth.
We know many good people who understand this need and are ready
to be generous with their love and their homes.

about other ways we can help.
